On the 2nd and 7th of November, we spent two peaceful days exploring the coastal landscapes of Sehestedt and Dangast, both situated along the shores of the Jade Bay (Jadebusen) in northern Germany. These outings were not only a welcome escape into nature but also offered wonderful opportunities to observe and photograph a variety of birds, especially waders—those elegant, long-legged species so characteristic of tidal flats and salt marshes.
n May 2025, we spent an unforgettable week exploring the birdlife of the Lauwersoog area with our friends Birgit and Thomas. This region, straddling sea, meadow, and wetland, is a paradise for birdwatchers — every corner offers a new surprise.

On 24.10. We started very early from Düsseldorf and headed towards Frankfurt, where the travel participants from all corners of Germany gathered to fly together to Thessaloniki.
From 18.10 to 21.10 we took part in a bird watching tour in the Havelland. It was organized by Rolf Nessing, a very experienced and competent birdwatcher.
Between April and May 2020 my wife and me visited the “Rohrdommelfläche in Nettetal” for three times to watch the birds living there.
